Style in a Snapshot

Okay so I am ridiculously behind on posting my friends!

I wanted to do a daily style journal but this semester is already proving to be a busy one. But, so far, it has been awesome. Life is SO good. Here is a quick snapshot of some outfits I have worn recently. I am trying to update my look - ya know that more mature college look? :)

I love the sailor-esque theme of this outfit. Reminds me of my sweet summer vacation when I went sailing on a cruise to the picturesque Mexico! Don't we all wish we were on a beach right now? Raise your hand if you agree. I'm glad everybody's hand is up.

It is hot enough outside here in Provo that we should all be at the beach & not in class. What's up motha nature? Lets cool down a bit alright? Until I will have to continue my *knee length* shorts and sweat to the death.

School Has Begun!

I can't believe that 1) school has started and that 2) it is this HOT in Utah! I came to escape the heat & I think I just brought it along for the ride. It is hard to be modest in the heat - all you wanna wear is shorts or a bathing suit! ;) Being on campus and seeing people wear jeans and cardigans already is maddening. Aren't you dying!?

I am also a little obsessed with buns right now - did that sound weird? Buns buns buns. Haha I love the teased & messy bun look. So chic.

Homemade + Thrifted Sunday

Man, I felt like a million bucks today! And hey it's okay to feel that way sometimes because sometimes you feel like a hobo! It is okay to boost your self esteem. It's what keeps ya goin'! I wore my thrifted J.Crew gingham shirt with my homemade grey skirt. Ya, HOMEMADE! I am so proud of that skirt. It is actually cute! hehe. Paired it with nude/gold pumps from another consignment store( Plato's Closet) and my handy dandy watch from Target.

Thrift Store Finds

I love a good bargain.

With being a college student and all, I am pretty broke! Today I found these beauties at some local thrift stores : Uptown Resale, NBC, & BearLee New. I spent about $25 at each store and just look at what I got! I would say mission accomplished :) I swear you get this thrill when getting something on sale. I hate when people look down on buying things at a thrift store. Obviously, they can be just as cute!

Casual Wednesday

Being a nanny means I dress casual because playtime, dirt, sunshine, and brownie mix needs to be factored in to my daily appearance. Usually - a tee & shorts. Ya know, because it is a breezy 115 degrees here!
